Chapter Seven

Awkward is waking up in a stranger’s house, lying in a stranger’s bed, and wearing nothing but my shoes. I blinked a few times to clear my vision and frowned. Where the fuck was I? It all came back in a moment, and I glanced at the window that I’d fucked Henry in front of. The sun was shining through it. I’d spent the entire night here?

“You snore.” Henry’s soft voice came from my right.

I sat up and looked in that direction. Henry was wearing a pair of loose black shorts, standing in front of his old but neat kitchen. The smell of something savory was thick in the air. “I know I snore,” I muttered sourly. I stared around the room before finding my pants near the front door. Sliding them on, I tucked my half-mast cock away and leaned against the wall. “You cling.” His body had kept me warm despite the cool night air that filled his “house”.

“I know I cling.” Henry glanced back at me with a grin. His expression fell. “Did that bother you?”

“Honestly. No.” Surprised the fuck out of me too.

His smile returned. “Good. Then sit down and let me feed you. You deserve a three-course breakfast for last night.”

I snorted.

“And maybe some … talking.”

Oh, hell. This is why I made them leave or I left. I sat down in a chair that protested my weight by squeaking with a wobbly table big enough to hold one plate, maybe. Henry placed food in front of me, then across and sat down with a nervous nip of his lower lip. “Thanks.” Way to be gracious, asshole. “I appreciate breakfast.” Good. Good. What the fuck was I so tongue-tied for? I’d never been this damn awkward in my entire life! I picked up a utensil and shoveled some artificial protein pieces onto the curved metal. Shoving them in my mouth kept me busy. It was surprisingly good. There was some kind of sweetness on it, orange maybe? I took another spoonful.

Henry sat there, staring at his plate and pushing around food like it was a bug. “I forgot how good you were at pillow talk.”

I grunted then swallowed. “Ain’t no pillows around, prospect.”

He frowned. “Why do you always call me prospect when we’re trying to be serious?”

Fuck.

“If you want to forget last night…”

I rolled my eyes. “No.”

“Oh. Good.”

“I don’t usually do the morning breakfast and the awkward talk thing.”

Henry grinned. “I kind of figured that shit out already.”

The spoon froze midway to my mouth, and I stared at him. “Just because I fucked you doesn’t mean that mouth gets a free ride.”

He blushed.

“I obviously enjoyed last night,” I said, placing my utensil down. “I want to get my cock in your tight ass again. Soon. Any other questions I don’t have the answers to.”

Henry was quiet a moment then said, “Fair enough.”

I scraped the last bit of food onto my spoon and ate it quickly. There. Awkward breakfast done. “I’ll go back to the clubhouse—”

“Oh.”

“…to pick up something to cover those windows.
